Attendance: 30 parents and family members 
Introduction: 

• Introduction given by Mrs. Screws 
• Explanation of the meeting purpose 

Noted: Things going well at the school Level: 

• One-on-one involvement with parents 
• Communication with teachers and parents is going well, teachers are providing adequate communication with parents 
• Open communication is taking place 
• Parents are in agreement with the one-on-one time taking place in classrooms ● Teachers are quickly responding to the needs of parents 
• The school is clean and organized. 

Needs: 

• Explanations of certain apps (Dojo) 
• Here Come the Bus app is having a few glitches with notifications 
• Course of Study Standards need to be sent home on a regular basis so families can help at home
• There is a request to post the Alabama Course of Study Standards for each grade level for parents to view 
• Some families are requesting more homework or practice of grade level standards ● New teachers have been receiving assistance from experienced teachers through a mentoring framework 
• Students are doing well in the area of math, math teachers are working hard with students ● How are behavioral expectations addressed in the classroom? 

Areas of improvement: 

• More in-school and after-school programs 
• Certain projects will be more difficult for some families to complete that might not have the time in the evenings or for those who can't afford some things so the suggestion was made to have students perform in the evening after school to involve the families in their child’s education. 
• Suggestions were to perform plays, for students to get involved in playing instruments, presenting students with other extracurricular activities, and showcasing school activities.
